KOHLER Gabriele Toilet Review

The K-3615-0 Gabrielle is an ADA compliant toilet with an elongated bowl that, thanks to some clever design with the tank, takes up no more space than a rounded front toilet does. This makes it an ideal option for fitting in smaller bathrooms and powder rooms. The toilet comes complete with a quiet close seat and lid, as well as a trip lever. The toilet is EPA Water sense certified as an HET (high-efficiency toilet), which means that not only does it save water (and reduce water bills) but it still cleans the bowl on a single flush.

Design / Materials

The one piece toilet is manufactured from vitreous china with a high gloss glaze finish. The tank has a convex curve to it. This curve allows the toilet to be set back further than is usual with a standard tank design. Even with an ADA compliant elongated bowl, the Gabrielle toilet takes up no more room than a round fronted toilet.

Flushing
System

The Gabrielle toilet uses Kohler’s AquaPiston flushing system. This system delivers the 1.28 gallons of water with an added boost, increasing both the power and effectiveness of the flush. The fully glazed trap Aids the flush in clearing the toilet with a single flush. To explain how this system works, take a look at below video.

Cleaning

The Gabrielle’s cleaning efficiency comes from a combinations of the power of the AquaPiston flushing, the method that the water enters the bowl, the design of the shape of the bowl and the fully glazed trap way. The toilet will clean even a large amount of waste completely on a single flush. Externally, the smooth curves of the toilet prevent any hard to reach places where dirt can accumulate. The toilet does not have any special coatings in the bowl, so almost any standard toilet cleaning agents can be used for cleaning.

Consumption

The Gabrielle toilet uses only 1.28 gallons of water for a full flush. This low water consumption combined with the ability to remove a large volume of waste gives this toilet an EPA Water Sense certification. In many municipalities, having a Water Sense toilet means that you are eligible for rebates on your water bills. Check out the EPA Water Sense website here, to check whether you are eligible for the rebates.

Ease of Installation

As with most standard toilets, the Gabrielle requires a 12” rough in, this is the distance from the finished wall to the center of the waste pipe. Being a one piece toilet, initially setting it on the gasket may be a little more awkward than with a two piece due to the extra size and weight. One set on the floor the installation is very easy. As per above KOHLER Gabrielle Toilet review, it is an innovative solution to the problem with many elongated front toilets taking up more space that rounded fronted ones.

It meets or exceeds all the current legislative requirements of ADA compliance (if the flush trip lever faces the approach to the toilet) and Water Sense certification.

The Gabrielle is a highly recommended toilet which is one of the top rated flushing toilets in the market.
